- The Seeker's Mindset

What We Believe

I have always believed that taking care of people matters more than squeezing out a profit... I take the time to listen before I act and explain things in clear everyday language. More importantly I show up in a way that helps people feel safe, understood, and valued.

Problems don’t always show their full story until you start the diagnosis, so an estimate is my best starting point... not the final word. Sometimes the cost goes down, sometimes it goes up. Once I can see the real condition of the components, how long the job will take, and whether the repair is truly worth it. I pause, explain what I found, and go over your options. My prices are fair and thoughtfully set to keep the business sustainable, that way you get honest pricing, quality work, and reliable service you can count on.

Tools change, equipment changes, and techniques evolve... I carry many years of experience, but I am always trying to keep a beginner’s mind. When my ego claims expertise, my curiosity keeps learning alive. Every job teaches me something new, and I bring that knowledge right back to the people I serve.

Every repair, lesson, and conversation is guided by empathy, honesty, and the belief that relationships matter far more than transactions. Community makes all of us stronger, safer, and more connected. It creates a sense of belonging and support that no amount of money or individual success can replace.

- The Seeker's Way
About Me

In 2007, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. A year later, life took me to upstate New York, where I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for the Goodrich Corporation. Eventually, life took me to North Carolina, as an Assembly Technician for Caterpillar and later as a Technical Support Specialist for John Deere. Along the way, I got married and became a father of two… I always had a dream of owning my own repair business, but with a full and busy life the time was not quite right. Still, that idea never left me. I kept learning, I fixed things for friends & family whenever I could, believing that one day the timing would be right...
In January 2026, that opportunity arrived… That is when I created The Seeker Repair Services, LLC. A mobile repair & maintenance business built on a simple code: "be honest, do the job well, and let people see the difference"… After years inside large corporations where shareholder value often dictated every decision, I saw how easily some things that truly matter to the customers get pushed aside simply because they cannot be measured on a spreadsheet… I wanted to do the opposite. I wanted to build something that honors my mentors, friends, and family members who taught me the value of doing things right. Genuine care, honesty, craftsmanship, common sense, and real human experience…

The Seeker Repair Services, LLC is my way of choosing a different path. A place where doing the job right is never called inefficient just because it costs a little more or takes more time, where people are not reduced to numbers, where trust is earned through what we do, not what we say and where community is what gives us strength in a world that’s not always fair... Today, I am proud to serve my community through teachings, repairs, maintenance, sharpening and furniture & equipment assembly services; all guided by the values I grew up with, and the knowledge & skills obtained over a lifetime of work.
My Story
- Miguel Mendez "A.K.A." The Seeker

Hi, my name is Miguel. I grew up in the Caribbean on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, a place shaped by strong community values, creativity, and resilience. Growing up on an island teaches you early that resources are limited, so you learn to take care of what you have. People help one another. Things are repaired, reused, and given new life instead of being thrown away. That mindset stayed with me and continues to guide how I work today.

As a child, I was endlessly curious about how things worked. I was always asking “why” and imagining what was happening inside engines and equipment. In my teen years, I began fixing anything I could get my hands on. First, for my family and then for my neighbors and friends. Over time, that curiosity became a skill, and that skill became a passion.
" My work history may span different fields, but those experiences built the personality, work ethic, and people‑first approach I bring to every job today "
